Warranty Claim
AlliedH2O warrants each TroughPump™ against defects and malfunctions for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.
How to Make a Claim
To initiate a warranty claim, contact AlliedH2O at cu**********@*******2o.com. Your claim must include:
- A photo of the pump showing the issue, and/or proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt);
- A description of what broke and how it broke, to the best of your knowledge. AlliedH2O reviews each claim individually and will follow up with next steps.
Remedy
Once a claim is approved, AlliedH2O will provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to the customer. The original TroughPump™ must be returned to AlliedH2O prior to a replacement unit being shipped.
Returns & Exchanges
We want you to be fully satisfied with your TroughPump™. Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase.
Online orders
- Unused returns in original packaging: only the $15 return shipping fee applies — the restocking fee is waived.
- Returned units showing signs of use: both the $15 return shipping fee and $15 restocking fee apply.
- You’re responsible for arranging and covering the cost to ship the item back to us.
In-person / show purchases
- Returned at the same show where you bought it: full refund, no fees.
- Returned after the show has ended: the standard online return fees above apply.
Warnings
WARNING — Corded Drill / Electrical Shock Hazard
Do not power the TroughPump™ with a corded (AC-powered) drill. Use only cordless, battery-powered drills to operate this pump. This pump is used in and around water, and a corded drill introduces a risk of electric shock or electrocution if the cord, plug, or drill housing contacts water or wet surfaces.
WARNING — Inlet Hazard
Keep fingers, hands, tools, and loose clothing away from the pump inlet during operation. Do not remove the inlet cover. The inlet cover is provided to limit access to moving internal components; never operate the pump with the cover removed or damaged.
WARNING — Fluid Compatibility
The TroughPump™ is designed for water and similarly non-hazardous fluids only. Do not use it to transfer:
Flammable, combustible, or hazardous fluids, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel, kerosene, propane or other fuels; solvents and thinners such as acetone, paint thinner, mineral spirits, or lacquer thinner; alcohols (methanol, ethanol, denatured alcohol); or any substance classified as flammable/combustible under OSHA or GHS standards. Moving these fluids through the pump can generate vapor concentrations, static discharge, or motor sparking sufficient to cause fire or explosion.
Corrosive, caustic, or chemically aggressive fluids, including but not limited to acids, bleach concentrates, and industrial or concentrated cleaning chemicals, or any fluid not chemically compatible with ABS plastic, PVC, POM, or stainless steel components. Use with incompatible fluids can degrade or weaken pump components, leading to cracking, sudden fluid release, or pump failure during use.

WARNING — Sewage, Waste, and Biohazard Fluids
The TroughPump™ is not intended for use with sewage, gray water, animal waste, or other biologically contaminated fluids. While the pump may be physically capable of moving these fluids, doing so is at the user’s own risk and may result in:
Clogging or blockage of the inlet cover and internal components when used with heavy solids, waste, or debris, which can reduce flow, cause backup, or damage the pump.
Entanglement hazard: long strands of material — including hair, string, fibrous debris, or similar — can pass through the inlet cover and wrap around the stainless steel shaft inside the pump, causing the pump to jam, the drill to bind or kick back, or the pump to be damaged.
CAUTION — Unattended Siphoning
Once the TroughPump™ has established flow, it can continue to siphon fluid even after the drill stops running, as long as the pump remains submerged. Do not leave the pump submerged or connected once pumping is complete. Remove the pump from the fluid source to stop flow and prevent unintended draining.
ON THE PACKAGING
1.) WARNING: Shock hazard. Use only a cordless drill — corded drills used near water can cause fatal electric shock. 2.) WARNING: Rotating inlet hazard. Keep strainer/guard in position during operation — contact with internal moving parts can cause serious injury. 3.) WARNING: Unexpected startup hazard. Remove the cordless drill before disassembling any components — rotating parts can cause serious injury if the drill restarts. 4.) WARNING: Fire, chemical, and contamination hazard. Do not use to transfer flammable, combustible, hazardous, corrosive, caustic, or chemically aggressive fluids, or biologically contaminated fluids such as gray water, sewage, or animal waste. 5.) CAUTION: Unattended operation hazard. Pump may siphon unattended once flow begins and will stop once water drops below the intake. If left unattended, secure hose connections and ensure the discharge area can handle continuous flow.
Recycling Notice (Working)
This product is fully recyclable. The pump end, tube, impeller stages, and outlet are made of recyclable plastic and can be recycled at most plastic recycling facilities. The pump also contains a stainless steel shaft and two steel E-clips, which must be removed before recycling the plastic components, as steel and plastic must be recycled separately.
Steps to disassemble for recycling:
- Locate the top C-clip on the steel shaft, where it exits the top of the pump outlet.
- Remove this C-clip. Unscrew and remove the bottom impeller stages from the tube.
- The steel shaft is now free from the pump housing and can be pulled out through the bottom.
- Remove the orange coupling from the steel shaft.
- Remove the second C-clip, located on the steel shaft itself.
- Once the shaft is fully removed, place the orange coupling back inside the impeller stages, and reattach the impeller stages to the pump housing.
Recycling the components:
- Plastic components (pump stage housing, impeller stages, orange coupling, Outlet): Recycle at most plastic recycling facilities.
- Steel components (shaft and C-clips): Steel is one of the most widely recycled materials and can typically be dropped off at any scrap metal recycler or municipal metal recycling collection point. Many curbside recycling programs also accept small steel items — check with your local recycling provider, as acceptance varies by location.
Do not place steel components in plastic-only recycling bins, as they’ll typically be sorted out and discarded rather than recycled.
